Brittney has become a reoccurring presence on my website… and in my studio… something I'm absolutely sure you're all ok with.
You would have seen her recently with another mutual friend, Dahlia, rocking the natural light look.
Not much to be said other than the obvious – working with her has never been anything but a pleasure. She's crazy beautiful, and wicked fun to be around, so is it any wonder she’s one of a handful of people I reach out to when I want to practise a new style?
I wanted to practise shooting in a dramatic on black style. I’ve been playing with the style as an alternative to my typical flat lighting… still minimalistic, and all about the person in the image… but with a little more punch. A little more oomph. Sometimes a little drama can really make an image stand out.
I think we completely rocked this style. Don't look so surprised, that's rude.
I have a few rules that I always stick to when I work with people. The first being that you’re always welcome to bring someone with you… your comfort will always be my primary concern, and so whatever you need to feel comfortable is of course supported.
The second is that if you show up as an escort to someone I’m working with… there is a very good chance I’m going to throw you in front of the camera as well.
Brittney arrived with her boyfriend Tyler… and well… as per the above, some photos of him were taken. We took the time to do a few couples photos, as well as a couple headshots of the dude… who like his girlfriend completely killed it. Talk about a photogenic relationship.
